What happens when you place a hold on a book and it's not in your local branch library? Welcome to the KCLS Shipping Center in Preston where every day thousands of library materials move from one branch to another in the 43 branch library system. 
The KCLS Shipping Center uses the Automated Materials Handling (AMH) sortation system. This systems sorts library material into plastic totes, weighing up to 40 pounds, for delivery to branch libraries. Tony Miranda, KCLS Shipping Manager, stars and narrates the following video on the AMH system:
